As Strategy & Administration Manager for EMEA your role will be to maximise the effectiveness of the EMEA business. Supporting and working closely on all the various matters, issues, projects and opportunities that arise from the SMD’s responsibilities. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working in close partnership with the EMEA leadership team, to identify and implement opportunities within the EMEA region that support and enhance the development, implementation and monitoring of strategic plans
  • Act as liaison and interface to both the regional and Companywide operating platform by acting as an intermediary with all parts of the EMEA business. Identify and implement practices to enhance the coordination and effectiveness of the EMEA business
  • Assist in the identification of organisation strengths, weaknesses and business opportunities and working in close collaboration with the EMEA senior management team, actively contribute to the delivery of the overall strategic plan and annual priorities
  • Drive strategic projects associated with the EMEA business ensuring all key projects are tracked and reported on
  • Be a sounding board for the SMD and help represent people’s views to the CEO and the senior management team and vice versa
  • Preparation of regular EMEA reports to IVZ and responses to discussion papers or enquiries to the SMD
  • Organise various management forums and committees; including managing and driving agenda’s, content, presentations and feedback
  • Representing EMEA on group wide CAO meeting       
  • Work with the CEO, senior management team and internal communications on an effective communication strategy

  

Experience:

  • Experience of working within financial services, preferably asset management
  • Project management experience
  • Experience of working in a consultancy type role

 

Knowledge:

  • Good understanding of the asset management industry
  • Experience of working in a global organisation
  • Understanding of Invesco’s products, services and culture
  • Good knowledge of IT systems and management information;
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint

 

Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally a business graduate

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adapt style according to the audience and liaise effectively with senior management, including presenting at board level
  • Ability to source and understand complex information to draw logical solutions and recommend strategic solutions
  • Strong, creative problem solving skills and a strategic perspective
  • Highly organised, self-motivated with a great deal of initiative
  • Resilient and able to demonstrate tact and diplomacy when dealing with confidential and sensitive issues
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to pull together presentations and present information succinctly
  • Able to work flexibly in order to meet deadlines and travel overseas
