Strategy and Comissioning Development for NHS, Senior Manager and Associate Director - Central London and UK wide

£70k-£90k plus bonus, benefits

This is an excellent opportunity to join a market leading independent provider of commissioning support services, and make a real difference to patient outcomes across social care and health.

We are currently looking for Managers and Senior Managers who will join them as part of our Strategy and Commissioning Development Team.

Operating in the new Health and Social Care landscape, our client's Strategy and Commissioning Development Team supports commissioners of health and social care to identify, develop, and deliver their commissioning objectives and strategies.  They also support their customers to operate as effective, high performing commissioning organisations, working with leadership teams and staff groups to develop their commissioning skills and capabilities; embed core commissioning and delivery processes; and ensure that resources are used both efficiently and effectively.

They take responsibility for delivery - implementing programmes and projects in order to make commissioners’ intentions a reality.  Each of them shares a common desire to make a real difference - not to merely ‘advise’ or ‘design’ but to ‘do’.

Candidate requirements

In order to succeed in this challenging role, you will have a proven track record of working at a senior level across social care and/or local health systems to develop and implement commissioning strategies and plans.  Experience of establishing effective models of joint or integrated commissioning would also be highly desirable, as would consultancy skills and experience.

Alongside highly developed interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, you will possess strong technical capabilities including project and programme management; strategy and business case generation; outcome evaluation; patient, service user, and wider stakeholder engagement; and collaborative / partnership working.

Ideally, you will have a comprehensive understanding of the commissioning cycle, a deep knowledge of care provision, and a strong focus on delivering tangible outcomes within health and/or social care.

As a service delivery organisation, our clients staff work in a variety of locations all over England. As such you will need to be flexible with regards to travel and working away from home on a regular basis in response to customer requirements.

If you have the experience, skills and desire to drive real change in the way that health and social care is delivered, and are attracted to working in a vibrant and value-driven organisation, then we are keen to hear from you.
