In the UKI this presents fantastic opportunity for our Managers and Teams to influence strategy, to step-up and drive growth again, and build a high performance culture in one of our most critical regions.
The Solutions & Presales Manager role in the UKI is one of the most influential roles in our business today. Its primary purpose is to drive our Bookings number through the development and deployment of market-leading solutions and proposals to sell world class consulting services. Leading a team of Talent Consultants, the Solutions & Presales Manager balances representing SHL UK&I in the market, providing thought leadership and regularly speaking at events and in the press, with pitching solutions to clients in order to drive the best possible win-rate.
The Solutions & Presales Manager, works very closely with the Commercial teams, the UKI Leadership and Management team, and Marketing. The role sits on the UKI Management Team. In addition, the role involves close collaboration with other BU teams and our Central Digital and Product Teams to ensure a culture of continuous improvement and high performance is fostered.

Providing Thought Leadership in the UK&I market, e.g. through presenting at conferences, events, sharing views on social media and in the press.
Likely to be recognized externally as a thought leader and active in professional bodies and networks
Developing and maintaining an agile solutions roadmap for the UKI aligned to business need and with Leadership backing to enable optimization of bookings growth
Delivery of the Solutions Roadmap using agile delivery approaches involving close collaboration with clients in order to create velocity from development to bookings
Providing presales support for complex sales opportunities individually and through the team – partnering with Sales and clients to shape, scope and position solutions in order to win business
Partnering with Commercial teams to develop account strategies individually and through the team – where relevant, be an active member of account teams to develop strategies to increase the breadth and penetration of our propositions within key clients or client portfolios
Role-model Project Sponsoring in critical projects - Providing a consistent, senior contact throughout the project for the client; ensuring the proposal and scope is accurately translated into delivery; providing expertise and guidance to the delivery teams on complex aspects of the project and ensuring key stakeholder expectations are met; delivering senior level work; proactively managing and resolving issues; acting as an escalation point for internal teams and the client
Sharing Knowledge & Expertise – Contribute to the success of the UK&I business and team through regularly sharing knowledge and expertise. Coaching, mentoring and supporting consultants and sales colleagues
Building a high performance culture through team management, cadence and coaching. Directly responsible for a team of c.8 individuals
Collaboration with marketing on the events calendar and plan, in particular in relation to Strategic Accounts, and design of content for events
Identifying opportunities to scale development of IP in specific client projects to grow our bookings number
Ownership for strategic external partnerships across the team
Ownership of the CAB (Client Advisory Board to inform prioritization of solution development)
Regular liaison with Central Teams to understand, cascade and feedback on product roadmaps
Required Skills & Experience:
Significant experience in talent consulting / in-house
An established Thought Leader in talent management or talent assessment
Experience in inspiring and leading teams
Occupational Psychology degree (MSc.) (or equivalent) - desirable
Customer obsessed and delivery focused
