The client platform with task management, store auditing, labour scheduling, time and attendance and analytics enables retailers to align store labour & activities to corporate goals, carry out their customer service strategy flawlessly and uncover profit.

Functional Consultant UK or EMEA – Retail-Sector

They are looking for people with Store Manager and/or Field Manager or Store Operations experience in the Retail sector 

The individual we are looking for should have a wide knowledge of retail processes to help their current customers and future prospects understand how to best utilise their systems within their organisations. Experience of Store Management, Field Management or Store Operations in a major retailer is a prerequisite. 

The role of a Retail Functional Consultant is to work closely with their customers and prospects to align their software products to meet retail requirements through pre-sales, implementation and post-sales support. This includes:

  • Prepare  and  analyse  customer  requirements
  • Identify  functional  gaps  and  recommend  solutions  with  the assistance  of development  team
  • Prepare  functional  requirement  for  the  development  team
  • Prepare project documentation
  • Conduct  training  for  customers and prepare User Guides
  • Manage  the  implementation  from a  functional  perspective
  • Support  customers  from  functional  perspective
  • Highlight all functional risks so that their exposure to commercial loss can be minimised
  • Analyse  change  requests  and  propose  solutions  with  the assistance  of development  team
  • Review the  usage  of our  product  at  all  customers  sites
  • Participate  in  review  meetings  with  customers’ support  personnel
  • Analyse  retail  trends  and  propose  the  directions  of our  product  roadmap
  • Give specific advice on retail industry based on experience and continued monitoring of the industry trends
  • Leverages existing relationships and proactively establishes new ones with key players, influencers and decision-makers within target companies
  • Has credibility with customer and  in  industry  market  place
  • Receives  repeat  demands  for  other offerings  and  consulting  services
  • Preparing system demonstrations to best show the functionality and versatility of our solutions
  • Assisting customers in identifying business benefits
  • Reviewing existing retail processes and showing how these can be improved using our solutions
  • Configuring our systems based on customer requirements
  • Training and upskilling customers
  • Writing test scenarios and testing software
  • Managing issue logging
  • Working with the development team to find solutions that solve business issues
  • Fluent English, further European languages an advantage
  • Reporting to Head of UK or WFM EMEA
  • Customers in UK and EMEA
  • Location: Offices in the UK and Düsseldorf. Work from home possible. Business travel is necessary.

Applicants should be highly motivated to learn and have effective communication skills and an active interest in the retail industry and marketplace. Whilst software experience would be welcome it is not essential, however as a large part of the role is working with systems the successful candidate should be proficient with all Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and familiar with using different type of hardware such as PC’s, tablets and smart phones.
