The breadth and security requirements of their customers mean that they work with a variety of cloud providers and they are currently working with AWS, Azure and UK Cloud. They now want to step up their technical services capability. We are aiming to build on their current achievements and capabilities, to create a high-performing DevOps and Service team who can provide world class support to their development team and clients. 

You will be specifically, you will be accountable for:
Leading and developing our London-based technical services, including the team, our processes, technical services and knowledge management.
Providing technical services input into our business development process. This will include assessing the fit between opportunities and our products, responding to technical requirements and developing high level costings, resource estimates and implementation plans.
Supporting projects from the technical services perspective. This will include providing advice on technical matters (such as security, network connectivity, hosting etc) and helping to design solutions, as well as supporting testing, demos, proofs of concepts and the transition into live.
Supporting live operations. This will involve taking over accountability for our service desk; supporting our live applications; and managing our supply chain partners. You will be accountable for the way we manage incidents, problems and routine service requests.
Their product development roadmap, along with our change management and release management processes.

Knowledge and experience required:

Experience of supporting applications, across the whole lifecycle.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of infrastructure, hosting and related issues, ideally in a secure and/or public sector environment.
Good understanding of information assurance and security. You should either be familiar with, or be able to quickly understand, the Government Accreditation process and its requirements.
Good understanding of ITIL, ISO27001 and continuous service improvement, and experience of delivering ways of working with align and comply with these principles.
Experience of working with a supply chain and Managed Service Providers. You will either have, or be able to quickly build up, a good understanding of key infrastructure MSPs and the solutions they offer.
Familiarity with and practical experience of Agile and Digital ways of working, including developing and evaluating proof of concepts.
Experience of supporting and managing the testing process across the whole lifecycle.
Good understanding of quality assurance practises across the various test phases

Security clearance to SC level is a requirement for this role, so if you do not already have SC clearance you will need to be able to obtain it (residence in the UK for the last 5 years is a requirement for this).
