E4tech is a strategic consultancy focused on supporting the transition to sustainable energy. Since 1997, our work with companies, governments and investors has influenced strategy, policy and investment decisions locally and globally. Our strong track record in providing strategic business and policy advice is backed up by sound technical knowledge.
E4tech’s clients call on us for strategy development and business planning, market and competitor analysis, due diligence support, and policy analysis and development. We also conduct detailed modelling and assessment work: techno-economic analyses of energy systems; greenhouse gas and sustainability assessments; supply chain and primary resource evaluation.
The quality of our work relies on a high calibre team, all of whom bring deep technical knowledge and interest in sustainable energy, backed up by a strong intellect, clear communication, and excellent problem-solving skills.
E4tech operates from offices in London, UK and Lausanne, Switzerland. The pace of change in energy is accelerating, and we are looking for exceptional people to help us continue to shape the future of the energy system.

Sustainable energy is growing fast, and our business and team are expanding accordingly. We wish to reinforce E4tech’s ability to win and deliver large and strategic projects by strengthening the senior levels of our team with an experienced management consultant. The successful candidate will contribute their experience of winning and managing consultancy assignments, preferably combined with relevant general or specific sustainable energy knowledge. The consultant will participate in a wide variety of project work and will also contribute to the management and development of our dynamic firm.
You will join a high calibre team working from our London office, but there will be frequent interaction with our wider team in Switzerland and elsewhere. You will deal with clients at a range of locations in the UK and abroad, though most of our work is office, not client-based.
We offer a collegiate working culture, a competitive salary, and a diverse and interesting environment at the cutting edge of sustainable energy. Salary and grade will be based upon experience.
Suitable candidates will have worked in a management consultancy at manager or principal level, delivering insight by successfully applying strategic consulting techniques to markets, technologies, business planning and policy. You must be comfortable managing and planning assignments with many facets and will be adept at building relationships with senior clients that lead to further business opportunities. You will possess a coaching style of management, suitable for an expertise-based culture. Candidates should combine strong interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully communicate complex problems, frameworks, quantitative analysis and solutions orally and in writing.
E4tech works across sustainable energy and adjacent areas such as low carbon vehicles and sustainable chemicals, with an emphasis on technology innovation. All of E4tech’s staff have a background in one or more of these areas and you will need to be able to work comfortably in a technical context. You are likely to have industry and/or consultancy experience in a closely related area such as power, oil & gas, automotive or process industry. A very good degree (probably at postgraduate level) is required in a relevant subject. In addition, you must also have enthusiasm, initiative, and a strong interest in energy-environment issues. Fluent English is essential and other languages would be a strong advantage.
E4tech is an equal opportunity employer and strongly values diversity within our team. It is not only our policy but successful practice to ensure that no job applicant or employee receives less favourable treatment because of gender, age, disability, marriage status, pregnancy or maternity, sexual orientation, race, religion or belief.
