What's your experience in? Hard to give an answer without that.People sometimes get junior pm roles, bus analysts, internal strategy, essentially most people do whatever they were doing at acn for another consultancy or a client. Most but certainly not all.

I left ACN a few years ago as a C2 to join an internal strategy team in industry. Most of my collegues that left at analyst level either joined in-house change management/project teams as business analysts etc or went on to join other consultancies. Few people are running their own businesses and other things.

How's that working out? I've had a few calls about such roles with Ftse250 co's and they sound good but not sure about the long term options?

Having been an ex-Accenture missing a promotion, it's not the end of the world. Other firms may hire you at the same level or one higher or you can move to industry. Just take a look at you skill sets and move forward.

C1 - I would def. recommend considering inhouse strategy teams as a move after ACN. Challenging work, not such brutal hours, better pay. On the downside, pace is sometimes slower, you have to content with internal politics you don't usually see as an external and you don't get as much variety i.t.o diff clients/people as with ACN, but if the org is big enough there is usually lots of scope to move around and get involved in different things.
