PA haven't even managed to sort out mid year feedback let alone the "thanks but no pay rise" communications. What kind of "high performing" organisation starts giving "mid year" feedback in month 8?

are you serious? they are letting people go with almost statutory minimum and you think they're going to give you a pay rise?

I got rated a 4 at full year, and got 10% then - why should I have to pay for all the dead wood 1 - 3s?Business still goes on you know - we need to pay our top performers well if the company is going to come through this stronger

Yeah, get rid of everyone graded 1 to 3 - it's fair and objective. That'll leave the best backstabbers and brownnosers to shaft each other.PAer - I think you'll find your deadwood colleagues are paying for you rather than the other way round. Shall we "catch up over coffee", pal?

PAer - 3 is a perfectly acceptable score to get. And before the usual torrent of rubbish starts I got a 4 and a payrise last year.

3 is fine if you are new in grade. If you've been there for more than a year and you're still only getting a 3 then it is cr*p.Why should pay rises for 4s be subsidised by lard asses 3s?

The problem with assessments is that they are subjective. You can be doing a great job, but if you happen to be 'competing' with loudmouth colleagues who constantly blow their own trumpet but fail to deliver (whilst covering their tracks and moving on before their reputation is tarnished) then you can be at a disadvantage.

So you think that assessments are always completely objective and fair, that politics never factors into it, and that if you just do a good honest job to a good standard then this will inevitably by noted on your record and you'll be fairly rewarded and promoted as you deserve?

amazing how many strong supporters of PA have pop-out around the forum in the last couple of days... as they get closer to "please pick up your stuff, hand over your pass and follow the security guy" day.
