Are there going to be any this year? Having been told that payrises and promotions are being deferred due to the market situtation, after posting last month yet another set of impressive quarterly results I was wondering whether anyone had heard of any decision made on whether these are going ahead this year?

As someone who was there during the last downturn after the hamfisted PwC takeover, there were no payrises, promotions, or training courses for 3 years despite respectable results from the company.IBM is a sweatshop consultancy, more suited to large scale ERP implementations that proper C level advice.Do like the PwC folks did a few years back, and get out as soon as you can.If past form is anything to go by, payrises and promotions are years (not months) away

There will be no payrises or promotions until after Sam meets his 10 by 0 in 2010.Sorry its his pension. In 2011 the staff shortages will be painfull, then they may think about it ias they head towards another 1998 :)

Even when IBM is doing well it gives p*ss poor payrises and promotions.IBM is another EDS, expect pay cuts any day now.

There will be no pay cuts, there is zero bench and most projects are just a ball hair away from fucked. They cant afford to loose any more. Brendan is going to have very brown underwear by December.
