There is no prescribed clear-cut career path in Logica. It's literally whatever you make of it, whatever contacts you make, or whatever you can blag.We have 6 levels for each career pathway (Technical, Business Consultancy, Project Delivery etc), with level 1 being junior staff and graduates, and level 6 being programme managers/directors. For each level there are 'Capabilities' that staff need to demonstrate in order to, in theory, move up the levels. However, many staff here have found that meeting all of these Capabilities and Capabilities above your level does not equate to moving up levels. If you don't move up a level, not to worry, as you can still apply to that senior technical architect role or the project manager role.... so long as you have the experience and someone can vouch for you. I need to add here, that the S&D division has been disbanded, and instead we have a number of 'Practices' such as Test and Transition, Solution Architecture, High Integrity Systems etc including a Consulting practice. We still have a large portfolio of S&D programmes, just that staff now are divided according to skills/expertise rather than domain area/knowledge.HTH.
