All,Can some PwCers let me know what perks are on offer as a PWC consultant? Laptops, mobiles/crackberry? I have heard rumours that travel and hotel expenses are being cut back, no more 1st class travel? I guess this is happening across most Firms though to save job cuts

There is an internal postal service that you can use FREE to send work documents to people in other departments or even other London offices. If you are a senior manager or partner and once you have been there a year, you can apply to have an email address at a heavily discounted rate. There is quite a long waiting list though.

PIC perks are reasonably standard - salary, bonus plus a good flexible benefits scheme. Consultants also get Thinkpad, mobile and blackberry/3G card. In most offices, senior consultant and above get a "preferred" hotelling desk.It is true that there is a tightening of expenses policy, but nothing you wouldn't do yourself if you owned the firm! Sensible tightening of the belt.

Thanks for the info (well the useful comments anyway!). Can you confirm if the latop/phone/blackberry get allocated as part of the 2 day PIC induction or do you need to request them via PWC portal once up and running?THANKS

HI,Welcome to PwCYou should get your Laptop at induction. Day 2 of the 2 day event. You will need to request your mobile / blackberry from the portal.....(get on to the PA assigned to your team/location and they will provide you with cost code that you will need to complete this - I suggest you get this in advance, will make things run smother).

PWC Gal - thanks for this information. I thought it was strange having to request laptop via portal as this would limit me starting a project assignment!
