Hi, I'm new to all this consultancy stuff and just trying to research as much as possible before diving into a job.I'm a physics grad, and not really into business and endless presentations, power suits and politics etc. I really want to be involved on the tech/IT development side. My question is how much time would I spend doing techy stuff as somewhere like say Detica, and how much would I spend just talking to clients/presentations/writing up things..?The money is very attractive compared to other fields (im a recent grad btw), and I don't mind having to do a few meetings and business type things now and again, but like I say I want a technology focussed role really. Will Detica offer that? Are there any other techy consultancies Id be better off with?As you can tell Im a complete novice to consultancy, so we appreciate any info, even basic stuff about what the role entails.
