Does anyone know what it's like to work in Deloitte M&A Strategy, work life balance, quality of work career progression opportunities (including moving laterally into Pure Strategy)?Also, how would it compare to Strategy at someone like PWC?

Forget the work life balance... but it is the best part of Deloitte

I cannot think of a worse time to enter Deloitte M&A. Utilisation is down. Way down. If you join at Senior consultant level or above you will not be formally allowed to rotate around strategy. But there is more flexibility about this at the moment because of the lack of work.

Have heard similar things from previous colleagues about utilisation. A number of people are on strategy projects at the moment. Good place to work, but PWC are definitely busier at the moment and would be a better option. The ex-Burlington comment is true to some degree, but I think there are now only 7 of them remaining. A good team at Deloitte, but with a worse work life balance with no additional reward. A number of good people have been promoted faster in this team, but as always that is a small number as you would expect.
