Man, got verbal offer from ACN. Two weeks since, no word, no written offer. Is this normal? or should I worry?

I wouldn't worry.. I got a verbal offer from Bain 3 weeks ago and they told it'll take a bit since I'll start in Sept.

Time between verbal and formal depends on which area you are looking to join (some have recruitment freezes at the mo)

Why will ACN conduct such a long interview process and select candidates, give verbal offers and then put a recritment freeze? Does verbal offer carry any value?

Relax.. Verbal offers do not carry any value, but once they call you to say that u've landed the job they'll make u an offer.. If cannot wait, say because u hav other offers, just send them an email..

I wouldnt be so confident. I went through the same thing with Booz allen for a Principal role. Long process of assesment then a verbal offer. that was 6months ago and I am not closer to working for them. In fact I have given up on chasing them now. Some times the market situation changes and there isnt much you can do

Might be worth chasing them up.I got a verbal offer from EY BAS about two years ago, from HR over the phone, and then got a "Dear John" letter about 3 weeks later...From what I hear from people who work there, this sort of attitude towards recruits is symptomatic of how poorly they treat their employees ...

Follow-up baby!!! All verbals don't convert to firm offers and few firms are notorious at that. Good luck!!
