Hi All,does anyone have any info. on the kind of projects E&Y BAS are undertaking at the moment within the Transport space.Any thoughts on the size of the BAS transport team, types of clients, type of work being undertaken.Anything relating to BAS and transport would be great.Many thanks in advance!

I dont think there is a specific transport team. There is a loose grouping of people and projects who have worked / are working in the automotive/aerospace industry but no formal group. BAS is structured by technical competency i.e. Strategy, Supply Chain, Change etc and people have industry focus. Wider EY has a transport group but they are client service rather than consultants

BAS is run by ex-IBM and ex-Accenture partners, and is still trying to make its way in the marketplace. Rather than taking such a gamble with your career, why not join an established consultancy ?

Hi - 'D' and 'Old Timer',thanks for your comments - very useful. yes I have seen all the negative thoughts about ex-this and ex-that partners....think the best thing is to go meet them and see for myself what it's all about. the fact that its not established isn't necessarily a bad thing, all pratices start somewhere...at any rate E&Y itself IS very established.it's interesting how some people in this forum are so completely against BAS and yet some are completely for it. all firms have good and bad points --- just need to see if the pros outweigh the cons - then its OK! don't mean to start up the whole BAS debate, was just asking about transport!thanks again
