I have been working with gobal services for about 6 months, having joined from a big 4 consultancy. I have found it hard to adjust, it is massive with lots of different bits seemingly doing the same thing. i have also found that I am working with almost no other BT people. It is very hard but very important to network. Also lots of admin stuff to do

Don't waste your precious career dude. Like anon I joined from a big 4 consultancy about a year ago seduced by a vision of where we are going and the only thing I have found is that you are a) very isolated all the time, and b) back office support for numty sales managers who really only want to sell phones and cables. You will do better elsewhere !!

They've just announced voluntary redundacy for professional services in Global Services. I expect lots of people will be heading for the door as it's a very generous package (6mths salary plus 1 mth for each year of service).

Yeah - it seems high-profile companies recruit young fodder such as myself quite in large numbers but are letting the more xperienced (and more expensive) consultants go....Churn churn...think i'll go to JP Morgan after all!
