Hi there, I was in almost the exact same situation as you a year or so back... I did my MSc in Operational Research with the goal of heading into consultancy - and at the time, specifically strategy.I'll answer your questions briefly:1) In all honesty I have not found that my MSc has given me any sort of substantial advantage in getting hired... (although admittedly I did apply for firms who don't state MSc preferred). I think that my MSc increased my chances of getting an interview etc... but when it comes down to the nitty gritty - the actual getting an offer - I can't say that the advantage is overwhelming.2) Having said that, I do not believe it will be a waste of your time - I found the course very useful in terms of gaining a useful insight into how you should think and analyse things like a consultant. I would certainly recommend the course. An exact answer does depend on a few details; e.g. course details/content, firms you're thinking of applying to.If you'd like a more of chat, reply with your email address and I'll try to answer as best I can.
