Hi, Anyone can give me an idea of salary levels that I can expect at senior manager level. I am likely to be made an offer and I would like to be prepared to negotiate. Comparable figures in other Big 4 would help as well. Thanks in advance.

Are you a direct applicant or working via a headhunter? If you're going via a headhunter, make them earn their fee and provide you with some insight about salary levels and how to pitch it.If you're going the direct route, you'll need to take your chances based on market rate.

Why, oh why, would you want to join EY BAS? They have lost most of their book of business and are now scrambling about the low end of the market for cruddy mind bendingly boring Government jobs

I recruit for these companies, these are broad indications of what you cna expect. They differ in individuals teams but good starting points.Manager at EY pays 60-85k base + car (no bonus).Manger (Consultant in PIC) at PwC pays 45-60k + bonus (approx 8k) + benefits (approx 8k, including car)Manager at Deloitte pays 60-80k + bonus (approx 10%) + benefits (approx 8k)

Pwc pay the lowest out of the Big 4. Probably because their practice is the biggest in Uk and overall they consider themselves to have a better reputation than the others. If you want money then go to Deloitte. If you want culture then go to KPMG. If you want the clients then PwC. If you've been rejected by them then EY.

Here's another suggestion:If you want to do management consultancy work, why not join a firm of management consultants as opposed to a firm of accountants?

Any thoughts on career paths at EY BAS. If someone joins as Senior Manager how many years to Director and then how many years to Partner? Any thoughts on salary ranges for Director & Partner?
