Hi,Going through Accenture interview process (technology/SI). My concern is that while I have plenty of growth in me yet, I know I'm not really cut out to be a partner type. Is it an up or out compnay? I can see myself getting to a mid - senior level but not much higher, I just don't think I'm that motivated. I do a good job though.Could I still be successful at Accenture? We can't all be partners can we? They need good people below. What do you think?

Not trying to be jerk....but dun count your chicks before they're hatched. You just went for an interview and you already thinking abt becoming a partner???I have been reading some of the threads in this forum and sometimes, i'm really amazed at how some of the forumers who have not even graduated, starts talking abt which big 4 firms to choose from....Returning to your partner question....life in ACN is like a marathon....you always have to conserve your strength, so that you dun get burned out.

ACN (Consulting workforce) used to have only two "landing levels": AP (Associate Partner) or Partner. Other than that, you either get achieve promotion, or get asked to leave/kicked out.*In the old world, Partners did the selling and relationship management, while the AP level was meant for highly-skilled people (e.g. specialists in areas such as delivery/technology) who the company did not want to lose.Partners and APs are all now SEs (Senior Execs). There are various levels of SEs, but I haven't figured out if there is a way that roles/expecations/performance factors/remuneration etc. are defined and whether these differ by group or something else. This is something that the company needs to sort out to make it clear what everyone is working towards.I think it is certainly something to consider when starting out. I'm not working my backside off for what I get paid now (my current salary may be ok, but does not compensate for lack of personal life), but what I can expect to make in the future.*It is also normal practise for people who decide they want to land at another level (e.g. due to shifting focus from career to family) to transfer from Consulting to the Services workforce (outsourcing), where you can land at any level.

thanks for responses1. it's not that partner (SE) doesn't appeal - I assume they are highly motivated, driven, sales oriented workaholics - I'm not - a good days work for a good days pay - that's me2. Not counting my chickens yet, just looking to long term. 3. I'd be quite happy to move to services at some stage - is this an easy move - I've got the skills
