ACN (Consulting workforce) used to have only two "landing levels": AP (Associate Partner) or Partner. Other than that, you either get achieve promotion, or get asked to leave/kicked out.*In the old world, Partners did the selling and relationship management, while the AP level was meant for highly-skilled people (e.g. specialists in areas such as delivery/technology) who the company did not want to lose.Partners and APs are all now SEs (Senior Execs). There are various levels of SEs, but I haven't figured out if there is a way that roles/expecations/performance factors/remuneration etc. are defined and whether these differ by group or something else. This is something that the company needs to sort out to make it clear what everyone is working towards.I think it is certainly something to consider when starting out. I'm not working my backside off for what I get paid now (my current salary may be ok, but does not compensate for lack of personal life), but what I can expect to make in the future.*It is also normal practise for people who decide they want to land at another level (e.g. due to shifting focus from career to family) to transfer from Consulting to the Services workforce (outsourcing), where you can land at any level.
