Hi, I am preparing for case study interviews with MBBB and come from a non-business academic background. I have been learning different frameworks/ topics to structure my case studies. Below is a list of those which I have been concentrating on. Are there any more that I should be looking at? Are these all sensible approaches? Any other help? I should add that I know these are not good enough in isolation and that I should be practicing their application to actual cases.4 'Ps'4 'Cs'5 'Cs'Porter's 5 forcesValue chainCost-revenue modelAnsoff Growth MatrixPorter's generic strategiesCustomer SegmentationPEST analysisAlso, are there any approaches that I should definitely NOT be using? Many thanks

By all means use frameworks if it gives you confidence, but why not develop your own on the fly? Use common sense and whatever diagrams or tables etc help you put your thoughts down on paper.Your list is good but misses out SWOT which is a fairly useful one.Any decent case study will utilise your common sense and ability to structure problems logically rather than your ability to memorise the axes of the Ansoff growth matrix or similar.Good luck!

Thanks VP.I'll certainly try to be a bit more creative on the day - I hope to use these frameworks as guidance more than anything. If it is obvious that something isn't appropriate or there's a glaring omission, I'm happy to change them. However, coming from a non-business background, I find them useful just to reassure myself that I've not missed anything out.

Help!!!I've got case study interview with Accenture soon, and I don't know this stuff. I'm applying for IT Strategy.I could read a book but it's no substitute for MBA knowledge etc. Can anyone recommend a book to help? Thanks.
