I know it's a bit vulgar to be talking about money etc. but as an analyst at accenture the holy grail for many is becoming a partner when we're older.I've heard about 10 different figures for partners salary started on at Accenture (obviously it varies as you move up the scale).Can anyone give some hard figures for what the first few years at partner are likely to come up with?

they earn peanuts until country level. if you want money youre in the wrong profession my young friend.

I may be wrong but I heard stuff about Accenture not actually being a partnership now that it was sold off to the public when it became a listed company??!?!! surely this means that the "partners" are now actually employees (well paid ones tho!!!) but there is a major disadvantage bonus-wise to these folk because all the profits of the company now go to shareholders and not the grey-haired partners at the end of the year??!??!!! so overall their package is far far lower than it was before the sell-off??!!!! can anyone confirm this?!?!! TIA!!!!!

Those Senior Executives who were partners before the float benefit because they either converted their partnerships into generous share allocations (from which they continue t receive dividends), or they received very generous premiums to be "bought out" of ownership of the firm.More recently appointed Senior Executives are less well rewarded because they are contracted as employees from the start.Within the Senior Exec structure there are several levels. I would hazard that some SE's are on salaries no higher than those of senior consultants (£80-90k) whilst others are more comfortably into six figures. As Merlin says, the money doesn't kick in until you have significant leadership responsibilities.

When i was at Acn the starting for partners was 120k. And, in general terms, they do work a lot.If you can go somewhere where they pay you more, do so. Just a few comparison figures for what an equivalent to partner is in other industries / companies:MBBB: from 350k to several millionIB: an MD of a bulge bracket is usually between 1 and 10 millionPE: 1 to 30 million for partnersHedge funds: up to 1.5 billion USDTrading: up to 40 million... now. i wouldn't call being a partner at Accenture as the Holy Grail. The salarys are merely what an associate makes elsewhere. Good luck.

To be fair,these jobs aren't readily available for people who work at Accenture, it hasn't got the same prestige as other firms. The areas you mention are all very hard to get into and even harder to keep your job long enough to make that sort of money!

Point accepted, fair comment. Then we can compare to commercial / corporate banking which is a comparable lateral move - where salaries are still much higher. Accenture is not a great payer - all i am saying to that analyst is that if he wants to make money as his objective in life,perhaps he should consider other careers.

I've always pondered the idea of starting my own bank. Other than the rules and regs, it looks like a pretty simple and very profitable business model.

so acn SE&apos;s start on about 130k? no wonder many SM&apos;s don&apos;t see the point in the additional hassle for going for SE - especially as you start off as a level 4 ...and to get to level 3 is a big big jump...to the point that if someone scores you low in the leadership survey, you get brought down a level.SE cannot be equated to partners. How on earth can a firm have 5000 partners! In reality there are only <300 SE&apos;s with enough clout of a &apos;partner&apos;.

Listen I was on 120k full package as a third year analyst. And im NOT bragging - thats just the average scale! All areas of Investment banking ( and this is so much more than M&A) usually pay 6 figures full package after 4/5 years of experience, some sooner. Im sure you can do a web search and find some out.
