Hi! I've just got the Problem Solving Test from McKinsey. Could someone advise where it's possible to find the answers for it and probably some additional materials to practice before the real Test?Thanks!

The answers come in the pack? No?The test on the day is harder (but not necessarily 'hard'), i'm sorry to say. The quant questions are longer/more elaborate. They aren't hard, but under exam/test-type pressure, I found them mind-boggling which made me infuriated with myself (is that crappy English?). In saying that, I passed! Ha! So you definitely can.Also, it's not negatively marked, so, if you find your time is nearly up (like say, 1 minute left), just go back to the questions you haven't answered and answer them randomly. You have a 25% chance of getting each correct, after all.Ok, byeee

Do not fill in random answers at the end. The test is negatively marked (-0.5 pt for a wrong answer).

Marker, Why would you deliberately try to scupper anyone's chances by saying it is negatively marked?It isn't.I hate that. It's such a crappy move.

To anyone who is taking the test.Ask the recruiter on the day. They will tell you whether it is negatively marked.No need for debate.

Mine was negatively marked, and I sat it last year.That said, I wouldn't spend too much time worrying - there's not an awful lot you can do to prepare. It is hard (and it's not much consolation I know, but the one at the final round is a whole lot harder!), but the best preparation is probably checking your quick-calculating skillz and getting enough sleep the night before. I am no maths genius, and I passed on both the fisrt and final round, it's primarily about logic, and with a bit of hard thinking you'll be fine! It's also important to note that, particularly at the final round stage, there are people who fail the test but still get offers - it is not the be-all-and-end-all of getting into McKinsey (if indeed you want to - I didn't choose them myself, but it's all a matter of taste!)

Their new selection at the final satge now does not include another test... I was quite relieved!
