The Hackett Group are well respected for what they do, but they're regarded as much as a research organisation as they are a consultancy. Apologies for the pun, but Hackett are the benchmark for benchmarks. I cite their work constantly in my own when referring to standards of best practice. They occupy the same space in the finance function that Gartner occupy for the IT function.
