I had an EY interview the other day. I live in Myanmar. EY has recently expanded into Myanmar and I had my interview Here. My background is in actuarial science and I was working for an insurance company. I already quit my job and decided to apply for a job at EY. However, everyone at EY Myanmar does only accounting audit. The guy who gave me interview was also a CPA. But he gave me a job offer and arranged a job training for me in Singapore where I will be learning to specialize in insurance audit. I am not sure if this is the same as actuarial audit or more accounting based. If it is more accounting, should I take a chance and accept the offer? My future plan is to become a qualified actuary and gain exposure in the field. I have no accounting or audit experience. I was not sure what they meant by insurance audit? Actuarial audit or just typical accounting audit.
