Tony,Work / life balance is very important to me and seems to be with many other consultants. Would it be possible to do a poll on the work / life balance...this is to understand which companies are truthful on their websites and which ones are not. What is your opinion on this? Or has a poll like this been done before?Cheers

Would be happy to arrange for a poll like this to run over the next quarter. It could identify firms where consultants really have enjoyed great work / life balance - and it could also show how high a % of consultants suffer from poor work life balance. If the vast majority do have poor work / life balance then I guess this would make you see your existing employers in a somewhat different light.Watch the newsletter in coming weeks... Tony

Great idea- but can you make sure you define what aspects of a good work life balance are for the purpose of the survey, as posts on this forum suggest widely differing views re what is acceptable and the reality of consulting lifeThanks

Thanks tony for planning to put into action the poll!!!Your polls have always been structured in a very good manner, and i am sure this one would be also! Just a suggestion (im sure you would have done it anyway) it would be good to ensure that the poll be based on experience with the company over the last year / 6 months (whichever you think is appropriate). Since companies may have within this time put together work/life balance inititives. Cheers
