Potential Serco joiner

I have a final round presentation with Serco and would appreciate any advice from those who have already been through the presentation process - what are they looking for, how tough will they be etc etc. Any advice on the other aspects (group activity, mock client interview) appreciated too..Thanks

It is pretty straightforward with a lot of questioning. They are loking for the problem solving approach , clarity of thought and presentation skills. It tends to be relatively free flowing and informal with interruptions in the middle of the prsentation as needed. The questioning tends to be robust without being overly aggressive. All in all it is no different from a standard presentation that you as a consultant may give to a client any day.

Serco Consulting are looking to bring on board people with high quality consulting skills. Be yourself and try to show these using your judgement throughout. It's one of the few consultancies you will find that can offer an individual a really good scope of true "consultancy" assignments as well as some very talented folk to work with. Needs to continue to develop its brand, but does some very good work and is quite well regarded by those who know...

Mick James has just interviewed the head of Serco and much of the content revolves around their current recruitment drive and the types of people they are looking to hire. Could be of interest when preparing for your interviews... Peter Illsley is a really good guy. I know a few people who work for Serco and they seem to really enjoy it. Obviously mostly government based work, but from what I understand they have some great people and seem to have fun doing what they do.

I interviewed with them recently. They certainly are an impressive bunch and down to earth, professional and solid. Everyone I have spoken to also seems very happy there. Looks like a happy camp.
