Hi. It seems as though in firms like Deloitte, they like to give you a written exercise as part of their assessment day, where you write a short essay on a given topic. Does anyone have any ideas on what kind of topics are popular suggestions? Or actual topics they may have come across in the past?

In Capgemini we do not use written exercises for selection but rather psychometric testing, a group exercise and a presentation of a case study during interview. The case study does test your abililty to communicate in a tightly focussed business style of writing along with other skills.
