HI all, I am after some advice, any help would be greatly appreciated. I graduated in May, and since then have been working in the strategy arm of a very large consultancy. I feel that the company culture is not for me and am keen on making a move to another consulting firm / advisory firm. I am unsure of how to market myself though. I dont know how future employers will look upon a graduate that leaves a company after 8-12 months? How should I be sure not to send the wrong message across? Any advice would greatly help, thank you

What specifically is not for you? Is there anything you can do to improve things where you are? Would a move into a different team/service line improve things?Several of large Strat Consultancies have fairly similar cultures for Analyst grades, so it may be that Start Consulting is not for you.If you can get to 12 months experience employers may look a little more favourably on your CV, especially if you have very genuine reasons. If you can get to 18/24 months and make Consultant you may find things change for you and it gets better?

All good advice (above) but the main thing is not to panic. I moved from my grad scheme after 4 months, then was at the next form for 12. I thought my career would be badly damaged but hated it so left anyway- and have been at my present employer for 5 years and am doing well. Just make sure you can justify your moves, keep in mind you are young and aren't expected to get everything right first time, and good luck
