Ive been offered £53k plus £5200 travel allowance for a PC at PA. Does this seem about right?

Seems very low. Equivalent PC's at other organisations (e.g. ACN; Atos; CG), you'd be looking for at least 20% more at ~£70K. Then again, I have heard PA do provide the most generous bonuses outside the Strats houses. Whether this compensates for the meagre (let's face it, it is very low) salary, I can't comment.

I would say that within ACN, the equivalent grade would be that of an M1, within Atos it would be an Exec Consultant and at CG, it would be a SC (only a guess, based on friends who work at both places). Overall, we're talking about 5-7 years experience.

PA notoriously offer lower than average base salaries, but then you can realistically aim to recieve between 20 and 40% bonus each year as it's largely employee owned.

Seems very low alright. Which practice are you in ?? I'm in one of the BTG PCs. We would typically pay about £60k + bens + bonus, which should bring you up to a total package of just over £80k. Not the highest payers in the biz, but one of the better companies to work for in terms of atmosphere, growth prospects, and people focus.

Its for one of the IT practices. How many years experience do you have? Do the offers vary much between practices? Do PA offer joining bonuses? Any more info you can provide would be great.

Seems low..This is the highest end of the grade below and therefore the lowest end of the PC level. Travel allowance looks appropriate..

At ACN, C3 (4-5 years) with average performance would earn that basic. No Travel allowance thou. Even so, the top performing C3 would get £60k.M1 Would expect to earn between £65k - £77K (very top performers) + ~£6k for car.

I've listed to all the PA cheerleaders on here for many months now. I never knew that they paid such paltry salaries. Don't you PA people know that you can get paid well above that in the larger consultancies. And don't talk to me about bonuses. Everyone else pays them too, you know.

To the partners at PA: This beyong a joke. A principal that is getting paid so lowly? PLease check for a typo in the offer letter. A principal should be on +75K
