#0 Expected Salary - HELP!

Leo

Hey Guys!!!!!!I left Accenture and worked there for 2.5 yrs and decided to go travelling. I just got back and looking for another role in another company. Ideally a smaller niche company. I was an A2 when I left but had the responsibilities of C1 therefore in my next role I want to have the responsibilities of a C1 and get the pay of a C1 (my CV shows I have had these responsibilities - but does not expicility show that I was an A2 when I left). The problem is companies are asking for current and expected salary. So I am going to explain to companies when they ask this question that I was an A2 but had the responsibilities of a consultant and my expectation for salary would be 38 - 42. DO YOU THINK I SHOULD ALSO SAY: However, I would accept a lower salary if they wanted me to demonstrate I have the qualaties, and agree a timeline for this promotion and accept a lower figure of 33 - 35? Do you agree with the general salary expectations i said above?A2 Role: 33 - 35. C1 Role: 38 - 42.Any Advice would be great!Cheers!

Hi Leo - You assume that everyone understands ACN's bizarre approach to salary. :o) I would suggest you leave your 'grade' out of it completely and pitch yourself at what you think you are worth. Sounds like 38 would be a reasonable pitch based on what you have said here.
