Hi all. I am a consultant with 3 years experience in the strategy arm of a large consultancy. I have a desire to move to the USA, specifically Boston. I would like to know how easy this is, and if i should be finding a job here in London before i relocate - or find one when I arrive ( I have a US passport). I am not interested in staying with the same company - I want to stay in consulting yet with a change of scenery. I appreciate any stories or advice you may have. thanks M

Matthew - my own recommendation would be to get a transfer with your existing employer out to the Boston office. It will be much easier to secure a job out there if you are actually physically there and are currently employed by a consulting brand. You don't want to stay with your current firm long term, but I'd suggest that moving with them in the short term is the best way to achieve what you're setting out to achieve. Good luck, Tony
