Looking to change from one of the Big4, and Axon appear to be recruiting. The feedback about Axon on this site a year ago is pretty negative. Is this still the case?

given what I have seen at a particular client (we are recovering a project) Axon is not a company to recommend when you look for achieving results and recognition at the client

I can't comment on Axon, but pretty much everyone is recruiting at present. What's your area ? Why do you want to leave the Big 4?

When you say everyone is recruiting - what do you mean? I have been trying to get into IT Consulting for the last 3 months - through recruiters, direct web applications - no response yet. I refuse to believe I don't have the right qualifications...as I am still young in my career, 6 Sigma certified, 4 yrs Project Manager experience, Business Intelligence, etc Can you give some advice about how to get in? Thanks

Amazing...nearly all consultancies turned up their recruiting engines and still complaining not getting the right people. Even though the salary wheel seems to running on higher revs! Where did you get your "6 Sigma certified, 4 yrs Project Manager experience, Business Intelligence, but still young in my career", maybe something does not sound credible (even it is)???

I've been here for nearly 5 years, more than anything fancy a change, especially into a smaller environment. My "area" recently has been project management in finance implementations (this firm was not my first job - background in manufacturing business improvement)

Graduate Training program at a major multi national company. Currently in my 2nd role. (2yrs training + 2yrs PM role(managing BI))When I say "young in my career" I still am at a stage where I am not set in my ways. Have enough experience to do other things...but still young enough to learn and move around. I think my CV is pretty clear about my experience and I have had it reviewed several times. I'm really beginning to wonder if I am with the right recruiters, or if a recruiter is the way to go. thanks

I think you've stumbled on the right answer - it's about finding the right recruiter who specialises in the types of positions you are going for, AND has a good relationship with the firms that are currently hiring for those positions. I spend months applying for all sorts of consulting openings both direct and through several agencies, but got two interviews (and a job offer) within a month of finding the right (for me) recruiter.
