I'm considering the MA in Management Learning and Leadership at Lancaster. I'm new to the UK and therefore don't have much info on Lancaster as a university, or the perception of this program. Can you please help me out here. I want to move into organisational and management development consulting. No prior experience in this. Can you suggest any other part-time programmes from other unis? OD - I'd give you the same advice here I give to anyone thinking of undertaking an MBA or an MA or any other qualification as a means of getting into consulting. Ask the academic institution to provide you with details of all the students in the last couple of years that have graduated from their course and successfully secured a role with a major consulting firm. Each university's careers service will have this information. If lots of people have gone on to join Accenture, PA, etc. then you know that the qualification is worthwhile; if they struggle to provide examples of students that have been accepted into consulting then you know that the qualification is not going to give you the edge you are hoping it will.
