#0 consulting market, consultant profile in UK, Europe, etc ?
Hi I am studying "Masters in Logistics and Supply chain management" from a MIT alliance program in Zaragoza spain. I have eight more months to complete this program. I think this is a good forum to inquire about consulting market in UK and Europe. How is the demand for supply chain and logistics consultant in Europe or UK. Please feel free to post about opportunities in other countries also. I am open to working anywhere as long as I get to travel many places and work in multiple interesting projects with interesting clients. More about me. I am from India and I don't have a work permit to work in UK, US or Europe. I am currently residing in Zaragoza, Spain for my studies. Before joining this program I was working with HP for four years in India and US as a software engineer, coordinator and analyst. I did my engineering in electronics and communication before joining HP. I will turn 27 before completing this logistics program. I don't know any language other than English and Tamil. I am currently learning Spanish. I am also hearing about Wipro, Infosys and other Indian consulting firms. How is their consulting practice? I prefer to work from India if I will get better opportunities to travel around and work with many clients. I have a GMAT score of 710. I would also think about going for an MBA if that is absolutely necessary for entering a consulting career. But a sister program called MLOG in Boston is enjoying excellent placement. My program is a partnership between MIT and Zaragoza logistics centre. You can find more about MLOG and ZLOG here. Please keep in mind that I am studying ZLOG which is Brand new. It enjoys its association with MLOG, excellent faculty, its presence in the midst of one of the Europe's massive logistic park and student quality ( 685 avg GMAT, 3.8 yrs avg experience). More details about my program herehttp://web.mit.edu/ctl/www/education/education.htmlhttp://www.zaragozalogistics.com/zlog.php Please help me formulate a good plan for becoming a logistic and supply chain consultant. Eventually I would like to become a management consultant with broader scope. I like to keep an eye on promising business opportunities and jump when I am ready to become sail on my own. I have eight more months to get ready based upon your inputs.ThanksSenthil
