I'm a penultimate year physics student, with a slightly unusual interest in renewable energy, having studied climate physics and energy studies, and have done an internship with a new energy financial info provider. I've got my heart set on consulting as i think it offers excellent business training, and would suit me well. I was just wondering if anyone knows of any boutiques with this specialisation, or whether any of the bettter known firms have done work in this field?thanks in advance

As you are finding out, consulting in renewables area is very niche and a bit 'secret squirrel'. It very much depends on WHAT you want to do as most are pretty focussed e.g. wind specific; PV;project financing etc. Try "Future Energy Solutions" as they are quite big in comparison to most and you might get some useful pointers.
