Hello,I have a BSc, MSc and PhD in Physics and have been involved in University management for several years at the highest level. In addition, I have several academic publications in Physics. I also have some experience of retail management, having been Manageing Director of a fashion retail outfit for close to 5 years. I wish to know the best route to get into management consultancy in the UK.Thanks.

What about a former Silicon Valley executive with a diverse career in various markets and industries? Would you mind looking at my CV, as I have been summarily rejected by numerous firms?

Who says Tunde's a man? </n>Anyway - the issue may well be in terms of his (or her) position. Many consultancies, especially the large ones, have fairly set expectations for entry levels. It sounds like the recruiters' reasoning in Tunde's case could go: "Not an entry level consultant - too experienced / qualified; cannot hire as a manager as there is no previous experience of project management and consultancy, so no thanks". Having said that, strategy houses and several boutique consultancies can be more flexible
