Upcoming Consultancy Fair in London

I am quite interested in the upcoming fair, but not sure whether the focus of it is going to be right for me. Would it be focused primarily on entry-level positions for recent graduates? Will there be significant interest in experienced candidates?I have over 8 years experience in M&A, restructuring and development with a Fortune 500 company and want to move into consulting, but not sure whether this Fair will provide a good opportunity for people like meI would appreciate a comment from the organizers. Thank you

Kotik - much like the orientation of the job adverts on this site, the firms at the Careers Fair are mostly attending to meet experienced hires and those about to graduate from business school. The better universities all have their own careers fairs, which the firms attend already - so the aim of this fair was to provide an equivalent fair for firms to meet experienced consultants or those looking to move into consulting from industry or banking. That's not to say that Uni students will not find it useful to attend - but the main reason the firms are exhibiting is to meet experienced hires. Hope that helps and hope to see you at Olympia on 7th October. Tony

I will be there... but in a vague bid to keep my identity secret, I have decided not to wear my RecruitGal superhero costume...

Recruitment are trying to get me to go, but unfortunately client commitments and more importantly fees take priority. Need to maintain margins to pay for things such as recruiting you lot!

I work for one of the top 5 consultancies therefore can I risk attending and being identified by my own firm? They will know I am seeking a move and this may cause some friction?<br> RecruitGal, I have superhero powers. I can see through your clothes. Tell me what you will be wearing underneath so I can spot you. I reveal your identity to other attendees. It will be our secret.

I still don’t have the ticket (might get it cheaper the day before on lastminute.com?) but like you I have the desire of looking at RecruitGal in the eyes. We need to find a spot and a time where all the undercover superheroes of the forum will meet. I think a pub/bar somewhere in the area would be perfect, we’ll invite all the others and maybe Tony in person will appear! What do you guys think? But it needs to be top secret, only the smart people of the forum will have to know (shall we invite the PA people or better not?). Watch this thread in the days to come and more clues on time and location will magically appear!
