This experience doesn't rule you out - it very much depends on the nature of both your degree and the nature of the work you have been doing. If you're working in a branch, rather than in a corporate role, then you might have problems though. If that is the case, then you might want to focus your efforts on getting an internal transfer to a project based role with a national or international remit. A few years of experience in that sort of field would be particularly useful in consulting. Either way, I'm guessing you'll have some useful skills, e.g. numeracy, modelling, team management, etc. Why not find out if Ladbrokes is currently working with any consulting firms, and approach them directly?
