Hello. Ive read numerous threads on this site and am having difficulty on a specific question/issue. I like the look of PA Consulting, but also like the look of Accenture and in particular Deloitte Consulting. My question is this. Is it true that as a graduate, it would be more advisable to take a position within either Deloitte or Accenture than PA, because they look better on CV and are said to have the best training? Ive also heard that PA is more the sort of firm you join latter on in your career, rather than as a fresh grad? Is this true. What are the opinions of people in respect of the three firms and issues I have raised? which firm would you choose to begin your career if you were starting again?

Look. firstly i would say try and get offers from all three, and then you can be picky. Lets start from the bottom. Also it is important to consider what operating group eg strategy vs it vs communications you would join in to make an effective comparison. My advice: PA is useless in everything except government work, deloitte is going through a really hard time. Accenture is the way forward, especially if you can get into their prestigious SBA og.

Yup, ACN is the way forward if you want to work for a sweatshop commodity consultancy, that will spit you out after two years

Hi King Billy, What makes you say that about Accenture? I am planning on joining them soon.

Really, why do they spit you out after two years? They invest an awful lot in training?!
