Can you make it so that when we type a message in the forum and we leave a line for a new paragraph, that it actually leaves that blank line in the final result. It gets a bit much reading a long post on the forum with no paragraphs . Just a suggestion. Thanks.

Thanks for this feedback, very useful. What other improvements would you like / functionality added to the forum section. It is very extensively used by readers so we'd like it to do the things that you would find most useful helpful? Any additional comments please post here and we will look at implementing these in the coming weeks. Rgds, Tony

Good to see you're inviting constructive feedback Tony. What about pushing those posts with the most recent postings to the top of the list, this way the most topical subjects get priority. Also, would it be possible to see how many views each topic has ?

The discussion portal that we have at London Business School is very easy to use, user friendly and visually appealing. You may want to check it out.

Would be good if you could see the whole string of messages related to the original one, not just one you've clicked to open

Another suggestion. After posting a message, it would be great if any responses were sent to a personal email address rather than having to periodically checking the website? Such an alert facility is used on the vault careers website. Cheers.

Yeah I would definately second that, as I go through these postings, i'm finding it more and more frustrating going through each and every single post on one thread individually. You should be able to view every thread related to a specific message on one page, not having to click back and forth.

It would probably be easiest to switch to a much more standard bulletin board software, which incorporates pretty much all of the suggestions above. PhpBB is one of the most common on the web and therefore lots of users will be very familiar with using it. It is open-source, i.e. free, and you can download it here:http://www.phpbb.com/
