Leaving Accenture - to where?

#0 Leaving Accenture - to where?

CHG

I need advice. I've been at Accenture for three and a half years working largely on business transformation projects in banking (2 years) and system implementation (capital markets). I am not a tecchie, do not specialise in any industry-specific systems / packages but have an abundance of 'transferable' skills (e.g. project management). My roles have all been client-facing. I feel like I have 'outgrown' the firm, I'm on a long term project, the career framework is becoming too rigid (e.g. no chance of going back into capital markets now!) ONE PROBLEM - I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WANT TO DO NEXT! I want a similar salary (top end for my experience and would like to remain in a pressurised, competitive environment but with more autonomy and a 'flatter' structure? Any ideas on firms / career options? I would quite like to get into investment banking project management but all the recruiters have told me to forget it!! HELP!

A good dose of...

Your lack of drive, lack of ambition and laziness means you are suited to Accenture. Stay there, you stupid Android!

Imagine, you are so lazy as to find another firm that you want others to do it for you and then you say you want top a top end salary.
You are a joke!

Too insulting

Is it necessary to get so stressed about people posting a message on the board? The post is not necessarily a joke. Jokes make me laugh. Is it the way you don't tell them?

Some one is bitter

So which is it: a deep-seated psychological flaw or just bitter about being rejected by Accenture when you applied?Oh, dont tell me you work for some wonderful firm somwhere that isn't Accenture and is much better - of course you do.

I assume that you are facing a very tough decision making dilemma. First, you are expecting the same compensation as your current job;, nevertheless, you are seeing no challenge within the daily function of what you are doing at your unit. My suggestion that you need to re-visit the fundamentals of life. What you are desirous of? What you aim to achieve? What networkings would you like to build up with for next yen years? What's your significance in the community? Calm down. Relax. Don't expect irrealistic life model. Linge upon the real sentiments from your hearts. That's it.

You are still far too stressed. I don't work for ACN actually. I simply thought that you express yourself badly on this site. Have you considered examining your own mind?

True, there wouldn't be much point using that. Perhaps you could get some specialist help?
