I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss such a claim. Unlike Accenture, where pay is quite rigid depending on your grade, with small deviations based on how you are rated, Cap's pay is tailored more specifically. A number of things are taken into account, such as the division that one is party to (i.e. consulting; technology or outsourcing) and then there is what groups one is aligned to and also your previous rating. Thus, there could be quite a disparity between two people at the same grade. Someone who is three years out of uni, at Cap would be an Associate Consultant and 50K is not unrealistic. If one includes rewards package (which is a 19% of your basic) which one can tailor benefits or just take cash, and throw in a bonus, then its not unrealistic to hit this figure.I moved to Cap from Accenture and I got a significant pay rise. Also the culture, people, company, work-life balance is significantly much better than Accenture. With regards to the people and types of projects that we do, the quality is just as high.
