Does signing the offer acceptance form has any legal implications? My starting date will not be until September but I might have other more ineteresting offers in between. Thanks!

I don't believe it's enforceable until you actually start and your contract takes effect. I've been doing this for ten years and have never heard of a company taking action against someone for changing their mind. So sign away!

None in the slightest. Indeed, it often cuts the other way. PwC and Accenture famously withdrew graduate offers in the last big downturn, just weeks before the new grads were due to start.

I just want to correct you. Accenture did not withdraw offers it created a scheme called "Grad-Leave" which essentially postponed start dates and put people on 50% salary for the period between the original and revised start date. I was on that scheme and thought it was pretty descent way of handling the situation.

I see that clarity of communication and accurate spelling aren't mandatory skills for ACN though.

Equally, there is no need to write drivel. It insults people reading it; why should it be taken seriously? Erroneous English is no more acceptable or "right" than an incorrect sum. The worse thing is that your mistakes are not just careless omissions or mis-typings, but altogether more revealing. Engage brain...

Charming !! No surprise to see good manners and good spelling aren't desired traits in ACN staff.

Don't know if this thread is still being read but I thought I'd write just in case it is still 'live'. A legally binding contract is created after formal acceptance of an offer of employment the contract. Boradly speaking, neither future employer nor employee can withdraw from that contract without breaching it, irrespective of whether employment has commenced or not. That said, I am sure may employees do, without repercussion (as, in relation to a junior hire especially, it is simply not worth the employer's time or money going after the culprit). I would imagine that only the most shady of employers are likely to refuse employment to someone who has accepted their offer. Thanks
