Hello - I graduated nearly 2 years ago, and while at the time I was keen on a career in consulting I allowed myself to be 'steered' into another profession on the basis of needing experience..... that interest hasn't gone and I would now like to persue a career in management consulting - is this possible? And if so, how do I start?

Rhia - your experience is very familiar to me. I followed the same well meant advice and spent 2.5 years on an a Graduate International Development Programme. I remained keen on moving to consulting and did so 4 years ago to Deloitte's Strategy and Operations service line. So in answer to your questions, yes it's obviously possible and I would start by reviewing the vacancies on this site and contacting one or two targeted agencies such as BLT. Hope this helps.
