Hi, anyone got any thoughts/experience of moving from consulting into venture capital? I'm a PhD grad, worked in industry for 2 years before moving into strategy consulting with one of the heavy hitters for 2 years (where I am now). I'm trying to get into VC, finding it tough so I'm thinking of going for an MBA to get that little extra on my CV. One comment made by one (i stress only one) VC I spoke to is that my age may be a problem, I'm 32 now, therefore would be 34 post-MBA if I moved in that direction. Suggestions/perspectives welcome.
