hii have a degree in international relations and worked since i graduated (8months ago)in a international organisation as a research assistant in a team with economists.i want to proceed my career in consulting and did some researches on the net. according to my background i should apply as a business analyst. i dont really know if i have to specify in which field i want to work in(i dont have a specific background and experience).do consultant companies recruit ppl all year or is there a specific time? how fast do they hire ppl (if i apply now for october is that too early?) which are the best companies to apply to seen my background? what are my chances and options?thanks a lot for any information!!!

If you target the big firms you regularly recruit graduates, you probably have a good chance of being taken on at the Analyst level. Think carefully about the kind of industries you want to work in though - some of the big firms, e.g. Accenture, will want to slot you into a specific industry sector, so make sure its the right one. Think long and hard about culture and lifestyle and choose the firms that fit your preferences - not all Consulting firms are the same! Good luck...
