I have been in consulting for 8 years now, progressing to manager level from graduate, with 2 blue chip firms. My main speciality has been Public Sector. Recently the pain of relentless travel has become too acute to ignore and I am now thinking of leaving the profession. Does anyone have any advice on which industries look most kindly on consultants, and what sort of grade within organisations. Also whether people who have left regret it shortly after.
