Hi,I&#39;m considering a career in strategy consulting with the top-tier firms (e.g. McK, BCG, Bain etc.), but am wondering what the typical utilisation rates are for a consultant-level position?Most obliged for your insights.

Mornings, evenings & weekends would be the norm!!! No, in all seriousness, 70-75% utilisation would be pretty normal with the remaining time being split between marketing work (writing proposals for potential clients) and recruiting (milkround in particular). Good luck! B

100% utilisation ++++ buddy - would advise you stick to your humdrum existence considering a career move - if you need to go onto a site for advice you are not at the races.
