It would be nice to get views of which firms readers feel have the best prestige (in the UK) by type of consulting work done.I have separated type into 3 popular themes:Type 1: Strategy - Mckinsey, Bain, BCG, Booz, Roland Berger, LEK, OC&C, Monitor etcType 2: System integrators and Ops - Accenture, PA, Capgemini, IBM, Deliotte, PWC, EY, PRTM etcType 3: Niche and Functional - Kurt Salmon, Alvarez & Marshal, Oliver Wyman, Diamond Cluster, NERA

I'm sure this will throw up lots of personal prejudices.. I'll only comment on type 2, based on my personal experiences working in some of these and with others as a client. I'd rank three tiers:Tier 1

.. and try not to hit submit this time.. no order within tiers, and applies to the consulting parts of the organisation, not the pure technology divisions. Tier 1 Accenture, DeloitteTier 2 PWC, Capgemini, IBM, PA (yes), EYTier 3 CSC, Logica, Wipro, Infosys, Hitachi, Fujitsuflame away!

that's within OP's Type 2 remember, not saying Accenture = MBB, and OP's question was about prestige - so I'd still say Accenture on a CV is better than PA or Wipro....

Implementation list seems to have been swapped with a list of the Big 4.What on earth do those companies know about implementing anything? How about including companies that actually do implementation (Celerant springs to mind)

Agree with the Dude. However, I would put Monitor ahead of LEK anyday and definitely in the top Strat bracket.

Hitachi T3? Not by my reckoning are they anywhere near. They don't even qualify to be on the scale.
