PwC has created a Capital Markets, Account Advisory and Structuring (CMAS) team in its Midlands hub, marking one the latest people and service investments the Firm has made in the region.
The role of the CMAS team includes helping clients through change whether that be related to accounting, distributable reserves and financial reporting issues, preparing for an IPO or other transaction, or navigating complex accounting and treasury issues. Having previously been solely a London based team, the move marks the first time the Firm’s service has been delivered by a team located in a region outside of the City.
The 17 strong team is a mix of accounting professionals recruited largely from the region itself . Since opening its One Chamberlain Square office in 2020, the PwC Midlands hub has seen significant growth and investment in new services and skills to support clients. Developing a regional CMAS team is one of the latest investments in the region by PwC, which also saw the recruitment of 160 graduates in the region and the acquisition of Olive Horse earlier in the year.
